The Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) is an organization of 25 states and territories of the Caribbean basin, Central and South America dedicated to implementing common counter-measures against money laundering and terrorism financing. Established in 1990 in Jamaica, CFATF currently has associate status with the FATF Money Laundering unit. CFATF itself does not set forth regulations, but rather follows the FATF Recommendations to monitoring, supervision, and enforcement of anti-money laundering and counter financing of terrorism (AML/CTF).
